Software Development Process

by Justin Lankes 26. February 2010 18:38

We're currently redesigning our investigation management software and I'd thought I'd share some of the process with you.  Obviously, these images are over simplifying the thought, time, and energy that goes into it, but ususally it's the simplest means of comunication that workbest for complicated issues.

It starts with the team gathering ideas from our customers and writing them on the whiteboard.  We also start to mock-up the user interface.

Hello World

So this is the new offical blog for Virtual Advantage and it's flagship suite of products, SCOUT.  (I just smashed a bottle of Champaign on the side of my computer) What will we talk about?  Why is this useful? Why should I care? Are there any horse socks or only shoes?

We have several reasons for getting this launched, but mainly we like to communicate openly with the investigative community about the business side of investigtions.  You'll also find posts about software development, Software as a Service (SaaS), new product and feature ideas, how we like to make life easy and uncomplicated and fun stuff about the company and its employees.  We want everyone to get to know one another better and share some ideas. This is a two way communication and our eyes and ears are open.  Tell us what you think, tell us how we can fix your problems, tell us our pictures make us look fat.

If you get the reference in the title of this post you win a free Windows XP license. We'll be in touch.
